The U.S. Samsung Galaxy S variants (Epic 4G, Captivate, Fascinate, Vibrant) continue to get Froyo updates (finally). The Vibrant received a cabled update using Samsung's Kies software, and the Epic 4G is receiving its update OTA. On Wednesday, Feb. 23, AT&T said that the Captivate will get a Froyo update, starting Feb. 24.

In addition, AT&T posted a video with AT&T Android Senior Project Manager Dante Martin answering some questions. When asked about Froyo for Aria, Martin said "soon."

Great news for Samsung Captivate owners! TheAndroid 2.2 upgrade is coming tomorrow! We’ll post a link here to the Samsung site with instructions to install the upgrade tomorrow.Sadly, that "link to the Samsung site" means that the Captivate will require a cabled update, just as the Vibrant did. It's not that big a deal, but in this age of OTA updates (and with its sibling, the Epic 4G receiving an OTA update), why?
