More evidence of a MacBook Pro refresh coming in the upcoming week has emerged, via Best Buy's Laptop Discovery Tool. It has a number of placeholders for new Apple devices with "New SKU" as part of the information.
There are five of them, which agrees with the prior information about five new model numbers for the refreshed MacBook Pro. Those new models are rumored to be arriving on Feb. 24.
The new SKUs are at the $1,199, $1,499, $1,799, and $2,199 price points, which are presently price points used by current MacBook Pros in the 13- and 15-inch sizes. There is an additional $2,499 sticker for a laptop identified only as "New SKU I," which would appear to be an upgrade to Apple's 17-inch model.
At the same time, AppleInsider reported that Apple has provided some of its larger European resellers that they could expect delivery of sealed product palettes to their retail stores as early as Monday. AppleInsider's source said that Apple has told these resellers that a) an official announcement about the shipments would follow shortly, and b) any dealer who tampers with the sealed shipments ahead of said announcement could see its reseller license pulled.
