Sadly, the Q2 2011 shipping device will also sport Android 2.4 instead of Honeycomb. The reason, HTC gave, was that the company did not have enough time with Android 3.0 to ensure the new tablet version of Sense worked well with it.
To make up for it, maybe, HTC is including a pressure-sensitive stylus. The new HTC Scribe Technology, the company says, offers a "groundbreaking pen experience." With Scribe, an end user can take notes, draw pictures and diagrams much more accurately than is possible with a finger.
HTC isn't leaving fun out of the equation, either. It advertises the Flyer as being the first mobile device in the world to integrate OnLive Inc.'s cloud-based gaming service. It also carries HTC Watch, HTC's new video download service.
